SSP Kathua Conducts Inspection of CCTNS Lab at Police Station Lakhanpur; Directs Real-Time Data Feeding in CCTNS (CAS Portal)

Kathua; 04 March: Today, SSP Kathua  Shobhit Saksena IPS conducted a thorough inspection of the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems (CCTNS) and data feeding process at Police Station Lakhanpur. He was accompanied by Addl. SP Kathua Sh. Rahul Charak JKPS, DySP DAR Kathua Sh. Ritesh Sambyal, and Insp. Tribhawan Khanuria, SHO PS Lakhanpur.

During the inspection, SSP Kathua directed the CCTNS operators to feed data into the CCTNS (CAS) in real time, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of crime and cases.

Moreover, during the visit, SSP Kathua emphasized the need for investigating officers (IOs) and Munshis to enter data themselves in real time instead of relying solely on CCTNS operators. He stressed that digital policing is the way forward, aligning with the Government of India's vision of modernizing law enforcement.

Furthermore, SSP Kathua interacted with the IOs and staff, instructing them to focus on CCTNS, E-Sakshya, and E-Summon, and make extensive use of ICJS, ITSSO (Information Technology & Services Support Organisation), and NDSO (National Data Sharing & Operations). He further directed all officers to personally enter case details in CCTNS to ensure accuracy and accountability.

This review highlights the J&K Police's commitment to integrating technology for efficient policing and data management.
