Kathua – March 12, 2025: The Annual School Management Committee Meeting was held at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hiranagar, under the chairmanship of Mr. Rakesh Minhas (IAS), Deputy Commissioner, Kathua. The meeting aimed to discuss initiatives and strategies for fostering the overall development and academic excellence of students.
Key highlights of the meeting included detailed discussions on new plans and policies to enhance the educational framework. Members provided valuable suggestions for the future growth and development of students. The event also saw the unveiling of the school magazine, Umang, alongside a review of recent infrastructure projects such as the creation of a swing park, a kitchen garden, new furniture, botanical garden, selfie point, mathematical garden, interactive flat panels, and new computers.
Discussions also covered upcoming projects, including vocational labs, sports equipment, library renovations, beautification of gardens, and the establishment of FLN (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy) corners. Mr. Minhas suggested organizing industrial visits and field trips to local units like beverage factories and water plants to promote intellectual growth among students.
In his address, Mr. Minhas lauded the contributions of the School Management Committee and praised Principal Ms. Narinder Chumber for her dedication, leadership, and tireless efforts in transforming the school into a beacon of educational excellence. Committee members also acknowledged her commendable leadership.
The meeting concluded with a commitment from all members to further the academic and overall development of students. Mr. Minhas planted a tree in the school premises as a message of environmental conservation.
