Kathua; 19 Feb:- Today a swift operation by the J&K police Kathua at Lakhanpur led to the arrest of a thief and the recovery of stolen goods, including gold ornaments and an iPad. The accused, Bishal Kondpan, S/o Gerson R/o Uttam Nagar West Delhi was apprehended after fleeing from the scene of the crime.
Acting on a tip-off from SHO Janipur, a team from Police Station Lakhanpur led by SHO PS Lakhanpur Insp. Tribhawan Khajuria under the guidance of Addl. SP Kathua & DySP DAR Kathua set up a special checkpoint at Main Bazar Lakhanpur. The accused was detained, and a search of his bag revealed the stolen items.
The successful recovery of the stolen goods and the arrest of the accused demonstrate the efficiency and coordination of the police teams involved.
