KATHUA, 06 OCT: Intensifying its action against drug dealings and to neutralise the activities of drug peddlers within the district, Kathua Police recovered approx. 8.98 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics from Ward No. 13 Berrian Pattan area of P/S Kathua, 01 drug peddler was arrested alongwith narcotics substance got seized on spot.
On 05-10-2023 an information received through the reliable sources at PP Hatli that one person Namely Amardeep Singh @faroli S/o Amulak Singh R/o Ward No. 11 Near Bus Stand Kathua District Kathua doing illegal trade of selling Narcotics Contrband and kept intermediate quantity of narcotics substance in his possession.Acting swifty a Police team led by PSI Swaran Singh Manhas IC PP Hatli under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Sh. Manjeet Singh and Insp. Sudhir Sadhotra SHO PS Kathua during naka/ checking at ward No. 13 Berrian Pattan area apprehended said person namely Amardeep Singh @faroli S/o Amulak Singh R/o Ward No. 11 Near Bus Stand Kathua District Kathua who was roaming under suspicious circumstances. While frisking approx. 8.98 grams of Heroin(Chitta) narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession. Thereafter all the recovered narcotics was seized and one drug peddler was arrested on spot. On this a case vide FIR No. 434/2023 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kathua while further investigation is underway.
District Police consistent efforts against drug peddlers try to reassure the community members that we are making untiring efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
