Excise sleuths conduct raids in Kathua, 80 pouches of illicit liquor and 2600 Kgs of lahan destroyed.

Excise Department destroyed, 80 pouches of illicit liquor and 2600 Kgs of lahan during different raids carried out to arrest the menace of illicit distillation and sale of illicit liquor in Excise Range Kathua. On the directions of the Worthy Excise Commissioner, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Smt. Kusum Sharma and ETO, Excise Range Kathua Sh. Virender Kumar a team of Excise Range, Kathua comprising of Inspectors Excise  Arun Kumar, Razi Ahmad, SI Sanjeev Kumar, JP Sharma HG Naginder Kumar and Excise Guard Jagroop Singh raided  Changi, Banyari, Ladwal, Upper Sakta Chack, Lower Sakta Chack and Sunjwan areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor. In the process, 80 pouches of illicit liquor and 2600 Kgs of lahan which is highly hazardous and injurious to health was recovered by the raiding team from state land & later destroyed on spot.
