 DC Kathua reviews progress of PWD (R&B), JKPCC and PMGSY projects

 


Kathua, December 17:- Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of projects undertaken by PWD (R&B) JKPCC and PMGSY departments here at DC Office Complex today. 

While reviewing the works taken up by PWD sector under different schemes viz UT & District CAPEX, CRF, NABARD, City & Town, Languishing etc, the DC directed XENs of Kathua and Basohli divisions to laid focus on projects lagging behind besides stressing on achieving physical and financial progress in all the projects before the cut off timeline of December 2022.    

The DC also reviewed the progress of works taken up under PMGSY divisions of Kathua and Billawar wherein he directed respective XENs to pace up the speed of works especially the projects connecting rural habitations in hilly areas.

 Regarding those works awaiting funding in lieu of utility shifting, the DC directed concerned departments to clear the liabilities so that projects can take pace to meet timelines.  The DC also directed XEN JKPCC to clear the bottlenecks on priority so that the work on Juthana Bridge can be started within the earliest possible time.

Regarding the projects awaiting forest clearances, the DC directed departments to process the necessary clearance through Parivesh Portal, further directed DFOs concerned to speed up the process of clearing the cases having met all prerequisites. 
The meeting was attended by CPO, Engineers of PWD Div Kathua, Basohli, XEN PMGSY Div Billawar, Kathua DFOs and other district officers.
