GDC, Kathua released its 15th edition of Newsletter “RAVI”
Govt. Degree College, Kathua released its 15th edition of Newsletter “RAVI” for the Session 2021-22 today on 19th of October; 2022. On this occasion, Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia, Principal, Govt. Degree College Kathua was the Chief Guest. The Newsletter was compiled by Editorial Board of College Newsletter Committee headed by Prof. Rakesh Singh with active support of committee members Dr. Surya Partap Singh, Dr. Kailash Sharma, Dr. Pankaj Gupta, Dr. Sumit Dubey, Prof. Anoop Sharma, Dr. Verinder Singh and Prof. Manmohan Singh. The event started with the kindling of traditional lamp by Chief Guest Prof. Sumanesh in presence of faculty members Prof. Rakesh Singh, Prof. Jasvinder Singh, Prof. Romilla Guleria, Dr. Seema Malpotra and Prof. Ritu Bhagat. The Sarswati Vandhana was presented by singing ensemble comprising of NSS Volunteers, Monika, Shivangi, Shivani and Natasha. The Newsletter was released by Chief Guest along with members of Advisory Board of the college and Editorial Board of the NewsLetter. Prof. Rakesh Singh, Chief Editor and Convenor of Newsletter Committee welcomed the Chief Guest and all other dignitaries. He highlighted that best of the efforts have been put by the editorial Board to make this edition a true testimonial of the Academic, Curricular and Co-Curricular achievements. He also congratulated the faculty members of the college for their individual as well as collective efforts which has made this Newsletter possible. He also expressed his sincere gratitude and thanks to Worthy Principal Secretary Higher Education Sh. Rohit Kansal (IAS) and Director Colleges, Higher Education Dr. Yasmeen Ashai, for giving their blessings in the form of Messages for the 15th edition of Newsletter “RAVI”.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia congratulated the Editorial Board for the compilation of Newsletter and exhorted upon the faculty to keep working with more zeal and fervour to strengthen the institution. He urged for wide circulation of the Newsletter on various platforms to make it available to all the stakeholders.
Prof. Jasvinder Singh, Coordinator IQAC also appreciated the efforts made by the Newsletter committee which will benefit the college in its NAAC reaccreditation.
The proceedings of the programme were nicely conducted by Dr. Pankaj Gupta, Assistant Professor in Chemistry and formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Suraya Partap Singh, Head, Department of Zoology.
