Excise sleuths conduct raids in Kathua, 1300 Kgs of Lahan destroyed.

Excise Department destroyed, 1300 Kgs of Lahan during different raids carried out to arrest the menace of illicit distillation and sale of illicit liquor in Excise Range Kathua

On the directions of the Worthy Excise Commissioner, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Smt. Kusum Sharma and ETO, Excise Range Kathua Sh. Virender Kumar a team of Excise Range, Kathua comprising of Inspectors Excise Razi Ahmad, Amit Sharma SI Bodh Raj, Sanjeev Kumar,JP Sharma HG Naginder Kumar and Excise Guard Kewal Krishan raided Upper Sakta Chak, Kangrayal and Mirpur Jaggu areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation of liquor. 

In the process, 1300 Kgs of Lahan, raw material of illicit liquor which is highly hazardous and injurious to health was recovered by the raiding team from state land & later destroyed on spot.
