KATHUA, 14 SEP; Kathua Police in its attempt to promote positive engagements of youth in sports activities as well as to build good "Police-Public" relations within the district, SSP Kathua Sh. R C Kotwal JKPS under the aegis of "Civic Action Programme" today distributed "Cricket Kit" comprising of 02 No.s Cricket Bats, 02 Pairs Batting Pads,02 Pairs Batting Gloves, 02 Helmets, 02 Thigh Pads, 02 Elbow, 02 Abdomen Guards, 04 Stumps distributed among youth of local area i.e " Youth Club Lakhanpur" under "Civic Action Programme".
While SSP kathua today interacted with the youth in SSP Office Kathua and said that everyone should take up Sports as it helps to boost Self Confidence, Concentration, Physical as well as Mental Health. He also stated that youth should make optimum use of sports and channelize their energy in the right direction through sports activities.He further stressed to the youth to participate in sports and to shun the drugs for a healthy society.
At the end community members especially the youth have shown extraordinary enthusiasm and applauded the role of Kathua Police for arranging & providing such facilities in order to boost their morale.
