Undertrial prisoner commits suicide in Kathua jail

An inmate of district jail Kathua, who was under trial in a drugs case, allegedly ended his life by hanging himself.
Rajinder Singh (55), a resident of Abohar tehsil in Fazilka, Punjab was arrested one and half years ago under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act by Lakhanpur Police.
On Thursday morning, some inmates noticed that Rajinder's body was hanging, police said, adding the body shifted to mortuary of GMC Kathua for post-mortem.
