KU Desk, January 24:- Under the leadership of Justice Gita Mittal, Chief Justice, High Court of J&K and Patron-in-Chief J&K UT Legal Services Authority, Justice Rajesh Bindal, Executive Chairman, J&K State Legal Services Authority and under the able aegis of Pawan Dev Kotwal, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District & Sessions Judge) Kathua, celebrated ‘’National Girl Child Day” at CDPO office Kathua.
The programme was organized by Aarti Mohan, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kathua. The main purpose of this programme is to spread awareness among people about all the inequalities that girls face in the Indian Society. On the occasion Neeraj Sharma and Pankaj Kumar Retainer Lawyers of District Legal services Authority Kathua also highlighted the various central and State policies and schemes specially to encourage families to have girls and to bring them up well.
They also awarded the gathering regarding female foeticide and Infanticide. The programme was also attended by the PLVs of District Legal Services Authority Kathua.
Besides this Tehsil Legal Services Committee Billawar, Hiranagar, Mahanpur, Basohli and Bani also organized programme on “ National Girl Child Day” at Govt. Girls High school Billawar, Govt. Girls High school Hiranagar, Govt. Middle school Mahanpur, Anganwari centre Palhi Basohli and Court Complex Bani.
