SAC order is ambiguous and confusing

J&K Economics & Statistics (Planning) Services fratermity Monday said that the recent decision taken in the State Administrative Council shifted core developmental responsibilities from Planning, Development & Monitoring Department to Finance Department, apparently, to enhance the efficiency of the system.
However, the order issued in this regard is not only ambiguous but also confusing in nature and, in fact, has demoralized the planning cadre. The cadre is not in the position to perform its legitimate duties since the day order was issued.
The planning fraternity in an extraordinary meeting held on 24-09-2018, unanimously, demanded that the ambiguity in the order must be clarified at an earliest so as to facilitate the accomplishment of the purpose actually behind the decision.
The members of the planning cadre are not in the position to deliver their duties as the ambiguity is not clarified by the government yet and as such entire planning machinery of the state will remain on static mode for next two days with effect from 25-09-2018.
A core group was also constituted to discuss & decide the future strategy in the matter.
